Reducing Vitamin A and multivitamin deficiency among Women and Children

To reduce vitamin A and multivitamin deficiency among women and children.

In partnership with Vitamin Angels, Pro-link supplied 23 bottles of 100 AU and 51 bottles of 200 AU of Vitamin A Supplements and 2,835 bottles of multivitamin supplements for pregnant and lactating mothers to Ghana Health Service in the Central Region and Volta Region and assisted in the annual national Vitamin A campaign exercise and child welfare clinics with GHS in the Volta and Central Region to distribute  Vitamin A to children between 6-59 months and multivitamin supplements with each bottle containing 180 tablets for a period of 6 months to pregnant women and lactating mothers. Also as part of the project activities, Pro-Link will supply Albendazole and assist Ghana Health service in these regions to distribute to children together with Vitamin A during routine child Welfare clinics.


  • 1071 children between 6-11 months received doses of Vitamin A 100AU supplements
  • 25,500 children between 12 – 59 months benefited from Vitamin A 200AU supplements
  •  2,835 pregnant and lactating mothers benefited from the Multivitamin supplements distribution in the Volta and Central Region during the annual Vitamin A exercise and at routine child Welfare clinics at CHPs and Health Centers.
